Most leads do not buy on the first call. They buy after a few useful follow-ups. The mistake is either giving up after one call or chasing so often that the lead gets annoyed. A fixed cadence solves both.
The 7 touches in 14 days
- Day 0, call: understand the need. If no answer, send a WhatsApp intro.
- Day 0, WhatsApp: brochure or price details they asked for.
- Day 1, call: check they received it and answer questions.
- Day 3, WhatsApp: a short case example or testimonial relevant to them.
- Day 5, call: ask about timing and decision process.
- Day 9, WhatsApp: a deadline, offer or new information.
- Day 14, call: final check; either agree a next date or mark as not now.
Rules that make it work
- Every status must carry a next follow-up date. No date, no save.
- Change the channel: mix calls and WhatsApp.
- Add value each time; never just ask “any update?”.
- Retry unanswered calls at a different time of day.
- Stop politely when the customer says no or asks you to.
What to do after day 14
Move the lead to a nurture list and contact them monthly with useful information. Many deals return after a few months.
Make the cadence automatic
Doing this from memory fails at 50 leads. A CRM with follow-up reminders and push notifications puts the right lead on the screen on the right day. In Sukam Tele CRM the telecaller sees today follow-ups first and the owner sees which are overdue.
See this running on your own lead list
Sukam Tele CRM runs on your telecallers’ own SIMs: auto dialer, call recording, follow-ups and a live owner dashboard. 7-day free trial, setup done by our team.
